This writing prompt is going to be different than the usual. I took the the majority of this past week off work to get some things done around the house. Yesterday, I washed all my bedding and Dion, our kitty, laid on the bed all day especially loving when the blankets came fresh from the dryer to the bed still warm. Later on that evening she took her last breath with JR and I loving on her. JR had adopted her from the Cat Protection Society 16 years ago and she was already fully grown and had a litter or two of kittens.
One of the things we do with our fur babies is to make up back stories for them based on one of their traits. Dion was sneaky, silent, clumsy, but going for it kinda kitty. She would attempt crazy jumps miss but immediately reset and try again. One of my favorite back stories is that she was a clumsy, french ninja spy. We would imagine her with a red beret chain smoking spying on us from the highest perch she could find. So, for today's prompt write a short story or character sketch based on one of your own fur babies. And give them a little extra loving today.
