While I loved Me Before You, I didn't feel as strongly about the sequel After You. It was enjoyable and nice to revisit old fictional friends but it didn't make me question to much of anything. It was fun to see Louisa deal with some of the things that get thrown at her. The funniest scene has to do with Thomas, her nephew and the Avatar movie. Reading the book is worth it just for that bit. It was not so fun reading about Louisa's love interest because the chemistry of the characters just wasn't there for me. The story moved along nicely and ended about how I thought it would. It could be a true end or there could be another book, either way works.

I was late to this book which was a New York Bestseller in 2013 and is soon to be released as a film. I will post a film trailer below. I don't know if my aunt Flows monthly visit had anything to do with my face being a chocolate and crying slobbery mess after reading this book or not, but either way I enjoyed this book. There were things that I could totally relate to the main character and some things not so much. I know what it is like to walk into a medical taking care of someone situation and feeling completely not cut out for it. It is a terrifying feeling and the way it was handled in the book was funny. This book is full of the feels but still has a good amount of humor. I just found out that there is a sequel and cannot wait to read it. 

 

I may have pictured the characters differently and the tone of the book but this looks like some girl time fun.
