Your Genes and Spiders

I dislike spiders. They scare me and I am not alone in that. According to statisticbrain.com fear of spiders aka Arachnophobia is the 3rd most common phobia with 30.5% of the US population admitting to the fear. It is only topped by Fear of death (Necrophobia) at 68% and  Fear of public speaking (Glossophobia) at 74%. A new study suggests that they were such a problem for our ancestors, that we evolved to rapidly spot them. Read more over at Neatorama.
